black clay is originally from slow and millenary erosion of rocks, has in its composition a variety of minerals. They are extracted in a sustainable way in the region of Minas Gerais - there is the largest deposit of kaolin clay in the South of Brazil, as a result of the erosion and sedimentation of rocks in the Serra do Mar.
Black clay is the best of clays, the black color of the clay is due to the fact of coming from volcanic soils, being found in the volcanic mud. It is rich in titanium, which makes it an excellent antioxidant.
People with very sensitive skin, dehydrated or dry should avoid black clay.
